Silenced Voices.

Shy and unnoticed.

Never speaking their minds.

Silenced by the cruel, loud voices that speak over them.

And after a while, they stop trying to be heard.

The loud wonder about their opposites.

How did they become so shy?

So different from them?

No one listened to them before, so they see no need to try again.

Tired of the mental abuse that they recieve on a daily.

Getting the strangest of stares.

But the voiceless always seem to have the most to say

The deepest of thoughts

The best points of view

The strongest of wills

The kindest hearts

If the outsiders opened themselves up,

The others would wonder what could've been so horrible that they would be silenced.

But they don't understand.

Silenced hearts.

How do they think that they make those people feel?

With their one-mind-sided thoughts?

Stares?

Words?

Exclusion?

We're all guilty.

But what about the boy at the end of the room sitting alone?

Writing poems on a silly piece of paper.

A true voice does not have to be spoken.

It can be expressed in a universe of ways that barely any one understands.

The drawing of the butterfly that was drawn

by the boy whose father has  a drinking problem.

A music piece played

By the girl who has to choose who she wants to live with.

The passionate book of poems written

By the girl who doesn't show anyone who she is because she doesn't want to be hurt again.

The deaf boy who gets called a freak for his attempts to use his voice.

The shy jock-style boy who's afraid to say the wrong thing.

Beautiful to the people who recognize

Those beautiful voices are never expressed through their throats...

But they're the most beautiful voices that can possibly be real.

Because they're the most realisticly beautiful voices that we can experience.

Human dignity + compassion= Peace.
